On this episode of Time After Island Time we meet Conal Fowkes, pianist with the Woody Allen New Orleans Jazz Band. Of English heritage, but born in Africa, Conal Fowkes has studied many styles of music from around the world. having spent much of his childhood in Mexico, he was influenced by many Latin styles (Musica Tropical). Conal Fowkes plays the piano with the Woody Allen New Orleans Jazz Band, but is also a vocalist, double bassist and music teacher. He is an advocate of the Tin Pan Alley style of songwriting and has released "Dizzy Fingers," a solo album covering these songs.
